What this site is
Plates & Pace is an independent site of free sports calculators: pace and race predictions for runners, one-rep max and plate loading for lifters, and net run rate and player stats for cricket fans. There is no sign-up and nothing to install.
Who runs it
Plates & Pace is run by Avishek Pandey, based in Gurgaon, India. He has played cricket since he was a kid, as his father does, and has followed the game closely all his life, though never at a competitive level. He recently took part in a HYROX race, which mixes running with strength work, and he also follows badminton and football.

How the calculators are built
- Published methods. Each calculator uses an equation from published research or a governing body’s rules, such as Riegel’s race prediction formula, the ACSM running equation, the IPF’s GL points and the ICC’s net run rate rules.
- Shown in full. Every page prints the formula, a worked example and the working behind your own result, so you can check the numbers.
- Tested. The math is checked against published reference values, such as the test values in the OpenPowerlifting project’s code for points formulas and the 1999 World Cup example for net run rate.
- Private by design. Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored on a server.
